This is fluffy reporting from the front lines.
(side note: constipation is gone in case you thought I still had it).
Day 2 of a 2-day temp assignment:
Where: small investment bank on the east side.
clothing: black sweater over maroon button down shirt, black pants, black boots, xtra blond hair (done 2 days ago)
Food: 1 carrot mini-muffin, oat bran cereal with raisins, vast amounts of coffee,1 turkey burger w/ cheddar cheese, some cajun fries, steamed broccoli, at least 4 gallons of water.
yesterday i was told to only answer 3 analyst's phone lines. 15 minutes later i was instructed by another assistant to answer 10 different phone lines. 2 hours later i was chastised for being too proactive and picking up internal calls.
then i was told to wait until the 3rd ring to pick up all calls even those I was first told not to pick up. then an analyst told me that i sent him a message after the person called instead of putting caller on hold as he was in his office at the time and could've taken the call. clearly, he needed a large stick removed from the posterior region as he was not in his office at time of said call.
This afternoon i was told that calls were disappearing from the various analyst's extensions after I was notifying them through their instant message system.
as i wrote to mander who understands this type of scenario only too well,
Can you understand why I want to disappear into a foreign country armed only with a musical instrument and punk rock hair?
