how does time slip away like that?
i just went to check in at a temp agency. how depressing.

the weekend was fun.
lots of rehearsing with the suit and mattsuit (we're backing him up on a few songs for the upcoming uk tour) and a schwerve show at galapagos (fun after we wrestled the sound system). it was a nice welcome back to see so many friends there.
and i saw leen on friday and then mold. christy is such an amazing drummer and she has so much vocal range and she fucking rocked!
i was impressed. i wonder if mold is back for good or if it was just a brief reunion....?

back to the tour.
you were hanging out in france when i left you.
paris was magical. i think i already wrote about that. so energy-filled.
david dune let us crash at his place after the show and made us tofu scramble the next morning. aww. his sister lisa is so nice too. she's in new york soon i think!
nantes was a warm little club - thanks to rahim for setting up the show and his mom made us indian veggie curry. jeff lewis made cool posters for the show when he was there previously.
how much cheese can a girl eat?
well, just ask kimya and i.
A LOT.
cheese and salami sandwiches became my breakfast every day.
and sometimes a cheese sandwich at the gas station if we had a long drive. and sometimes cheese after dinner.
and espresso cause france has like 8 machines in every mini-mart.
we had a big steak lunch on the way to lille. this girl charlotte and her boyfriend opened up for us. beautiful sundays-like stuff - gorgeous voice!
on the way to lille we had
steak and frites. mmmm/
in bordeaux a cool band opened up the night. they were called the diamond star halos and it was reminiscent of cat power but a little more rock.
toulouse was superfun with jacques hosting us! he and his girlfriend cooked us amazing veggie potato cheese dishes and steamed broccoli and they passed the cheese plate. yes! the venue we played there was mostly a theatre space but for all their lack of monitors it sounded awesome.

what did i like about netherlands and belgium?
hmmmm
playing with john wayne shot me.
the greek meal we had in amsterdam
playing at paradiso (an old church) in amsterdam with its high ceilings
the smoky coffee hauses
the botanique in brussels.
gent is beautiful, just like jeroen assured us it was.tilburg was an interesting little bar - we sort of played in the round and i think it was a college nite meaning people would just show up there at a certain time to hang out. the gig turned out cool - we started playing a few songs with kimya at the end of her set.
tilburg was our first nite with bp driving us and doing sound too.
it was good to meet up with him - he had been on tour with mc5 for the first leg of our tour.

all right i must eat something before i keel over.
coming up - germany.
more scattered pictures.
