me and t-har and sharky wrote a rap last friday after practice. it was because we went to my house where matt was recording the rap group of toby goodshank and nate gulick, otherwise known as "y'all rhymin". We got some grilled cheese sandwiches and some brewskies and got to work.
First we did the electric slide and roger rabbit to the beats happening on the other side of of the bedroom wall. then we added a verse to their song. it was something all right. i'll type it later, during non-working hours.
it's too much for the workday.

saturday was the beginning of another schwervon video shoot. we made nate gulick (that's right of "y'all rhymin") come to our practice space - aka Tucasa-and get footage of us rocking out to lots of songs including our pink floyd medley but the footage will go towards swamp thing. we played swampy a lot.
sunday was pancakes at odessa with matt and then more pantsuit practice and working out of a new song with the working title "what's your m.o.?"
i feel like i am stealing a le tigre song with that title cause it feels familiar. hmmm. i am playing drums on it.
then i met up with dina and rachel and we went to knit cafe and taught dina how to knit. she is a knitter now! then ethiopian food and wine and collapsing back at home.
then monday i had off and basically lounged all day. made some texas two bean soup and lounged again.
yesterday schwerve practice.
lots of practice practice i like it.
it makes me feel alive and productive.
which is good in this winter blues january.

tonite me and t-har and sharks are going to play 2 songs at bowery poetry club for the "million poems project". it's at 6:30 and it's free so if you're in the hood swing by. a poet is going to interview us. should i say i'm in a band to meet guys?
hahahahhahaha.
