I've got to stop watching tv in the mornings as i eat breakfast. This morning I saw good morning america and they had an old interview with christopher reeve and his wife dana. I couldn't hold back the waterworks as I thought about how sweet they were with each other and how she helped him recover somewhat and now he is dead.
matt was like, "what's wrong?" i just sobbed, "christopher reeve!"
mish and todd's wedding was awesome by the way. one of the most playful ceremonies ever, todd & michele laughed the entire time as the minister recounted stories of their 10 year union and breakup dance.
and there was a string quartet playing beatles songs. and it was outside with candles at a posh country club in jersey.
and the food. they had an entire room dedicated to desserts. that will give you some kind of idea of how we stuffed ourselves like pigs. we also had many interesting dance fever moments. alina did the paula abdul dance, she really did, while lipsynching. todd thomas tried to lift me but i ate too much. we had to settle for spins on the floor.
matt and i could've danced much longer we decided--i think we built up some chops in germany. but we just carried the party to the hotel bar instead. i think we went to bed around 4ish. i watched urban cowboy in our ultra-king size hotel bed. i didn't realize how gorgeous debra winger was in the 80's. and also that jon travolta's character was so mean. i fell asleep before it ended.
next morning we went to mish's mom's house for a brunch....she made italian family recipe meatballs and had potato salad and cheeses.....
yum it's almost lunchtime.
i have a cold. it sort of comes and goes but the overall effect is that i feel really sluggish and have a cranky at-work attitude.
which means i must take a lunch break now.
