i'm blonder. anu dyed my hair last nite it has given me a new lease on life. she is a beauty expert.

speaking of the cd,
here is a recap of the release party. this is a little bit from an email i sent tony:

there was a good crowd there. no one threw underwear or tomatoes though. jon berger did heckle in a pervert kind of way which oddly made us feel at ease like we were at sidewalk. i thought i heard farrell shouting in there somewhere about "10 more songs please!" hee. shark made cookies in the shape of pantsuits and tina brought candy bracelets and hello kitty umbrella straws and we are such GIRLS and had malibu bay breezes before the show.
ksf was "so dope" as toby goodshank wrote on his notepad during their rendition of "Burning up". they sounded their best ever. like kick ass unbelievable --so cool christy's drumming. sigh. to die fawr! they made us drool. new knife song.
The bitches wore suits in our honor---suit jackets anyway, but the boy bitches wore full on suits. they rocked...sweet beeeyooooteeeful voices and yoko's set was full of variety with couple songs just she and ann, then the boys & them, then the last song full band w/ me on drums. new song about a boyfriend playing video games, or was it a video game boyfriend?
pantsuit wore dresses!
shark had a blue polka dot skirt, t had a blue polka dot dress and i had a pink frock. yoko took lots of pics of everyone so the nite will be documented.
our set was good....we were a little nervy nervous in the beginning and i've never sweat so much but we relaxed considerably a few songs in. ahhh. amazing what breathing and some heckling can do. sound was okay---better in the audience then onstage though. where is my person mixing onstage sound for us? heh. actually, matt helped with guitar levels throughout show which was really cool. (new guitar when i'm back yes yes yes!)
we played motor city (shark's garage song) at the end which made me happy and also flies to butter at the top of the set which i loved and all cd songs in the middle. funny how when you're done with a cd those songs seem old.
it felt good to play them though. like giving birth.
no mention of GUMMO!
that is the one thing i wish i would've talked about. and we left champagne in the galapagos fridge we were going to have after the show. i hope the nice bartender who wouldn't let me pay for anything drinks it.

i tried to do a tarot card reading on myself last nite before the blonder and blonder expedition but stopped after i got the hanged man because i got a phone call. plus it sort of creeped me out to pull up a hanged man card.
then i noticed matt had hung a string in the doorway for gummo with a rubber band on the end so he could play with it and bat it with his paw and from the angle on my bed it looked like a cat noose!
no!
luckily the rubber band is pretty shrimpy. gummo tried to make us believe we hadn't fed him dinner last nite.
he just sat by his bowl for hours.

this weekend schwerve practices and shopping trips for last minute items like a new army bag and sneakers and jeans and face soap and drumsticks and we're LEAVING FOR OUR FANTASTICO TOUR TUESDAY MORNING! wooooo.
i'm eating a ricola right now.
